Our Journey
At Reny's Place, we understand that life can be overwhelming. The hustle, the noise, and the endless to-do lists—it all takes a toll. Like many, there were days when we found it hard to get out of bed, let alone tackle everything life throws our way. That’s when we realized something had to change.
Hi, I’m Reny, and like many of you, I’ve felt the weight of the world pressing down, making it hard to find the energy to face each day. Some days, it feels impossible to move forward without a break, without a space where the noise of life fades away.
My hubby (Tony) and I didn’t set out to create sanctuaries at first; we just needed places to escape. It started with a simple shift—moving Tony’s home office from one room to another. When the space was freed up, Tony and I transformed it into something special—a café right in our own home. We brought in a Keurig, added a cozy couch, and stocked a small fridge with creamers, sodas, and sparkling waters. We even bought an espresso machine and set up our teas and coffee syrups.
Coming from the Czech Republic, I love Bohemian style, so we started decorating the space with an Eastern European flair, using worn metal accents to give it a cozy, old-world feel. It’s still evolving, but now, after a long week, you’ll often find me in our café with a glass of wine, watching my favorite Turkish dramas. My husband jokingly calls it “going to Turkey.” It’s my little escape.
Our second space is outside, in the garden. The previous owners left us with beautiful landscaping that already felt like a sanctuary, but we wanted to make it ours. We split up the landscaping into smaller sections and planted a butterfly garden, drawing in fluttering wings and the soothing hum of nature. In another section, we planted a rose garden with five bushes, just this past summer. It’s still growing, but we can’t wait for the scent of the roses, the buzz of nature, and the vibrant colors that will fill our senses year after year.
Reny’s Place was born from these personal retreats, and now we want to help others create their own sanctuaries. We believe that relaxation engages all five senses, so every product we offer is chosen with that in mind. Whether it’s the soft glow of a candle, the comforting feel of a journal, or the soothing scent of essential oils, our goal is to provide the tools to create your own little getaway, no matter how hectic life gets. And we haven’t forgotten the importance of pampering our furry friends! Pets are a big part of our lives, and we offer products to help you spoil them, creating calm moments for them—and for you.
